A bheil sibh ag iarraidh cnan r ionnsachadh sa bhliadhn' ir? Anns a' Ghearran, bidh cothrom Spinntis ionnsachaidh aig an t-Sabhal Mhr.

Bidh sinn a' cleachdadh an d chuid Gidhlig 's Beurla airson an cnan r a shoillearachadh. Cuirear cuideam air comas bruidhinn, ach bidh beagan sgrobhaidh 's speiligeaidh ann cuideachd.

Fancy learning a new language in the new year? In February, you'll get the chance to learn some Spanish at the SMO.

We'll be usind both Gaelic and English to explain the new language. Emphasis will be place on spoken skills, but there will be a little writing involved too.

Tha beagan Spinntis agam mu-thrath....

Tha an crsa air a dhealabhadh airson luch-tiseachaidh, ach tha e freagarrach cuideachd airson daoine a tha air crsa eile a dhanamh roimhe. Bidh a' mhrchuid de crsaichean a' teagaisg abairtean 's "dialogues", ach bidh sinn ag obair air strutar na cnan ach gum b' urrainn dhuibh do sheantansan-fhin a dhanamh.

Ma tha teagamh sam bith agaibh, nach bruidhinnidh sibh rium?

I already speak a bit of Spanish...

The course has been designed for beginners, but it's also suitable for people who have taken other courses before. Most courses teach phrases and dialogues, but we'll be working on the structure of the language, so that you'll be able to build your own sentences.

If you have any doubts, why not get in touch?

Carson Gidhlig agus Beurla?

Tha cuid air faighnich dhomh carson a bhios mi a' cleachdadh an d chnan, an ite Gidhlig a-mhin.

Tha rudan anns an Spinntis a tha coltach ris a' Bheurla, agus rudan eile a tha coltach ris a' Ghidhlig. Mar sin, tha e furasta fhin comasan a dhanamh eadar na th' agaibh co-dhi, agus na th' agaibh ri ionnsachadh.

Seo agaibh am "bilingual advantage".

Why Gaelic and English

I've been asked why I'm using both languages in the class, rather than Gaelic only.

Basically, some things in Spanish are similar to English, and others are similar to Gaelic. By using both languages, I can compare the new language to the things you have to learn, making it easier and quicker.

That's the "bilingual advantage" in action.

A bheil Gidhlig gu lor agam?

Ma tha thu comasach air seo a leughadh, tha gu dearbh! Bu choir don chlas a bhith freagarrach airson daoine aig a bheil Higher Gaelic (learners), 's don chuid as motha de luchd Crsa Comais.

What level of Gaelic is required?

You don't have to be completely fluent - if you have a level of understanding equivalent to Higher Gaelic (learners), you should be able to follow the class.

A lack of written Gaelic is not a problem (hence this bilingual advert!)

Barantas gun chomain

Cha bhi airgead air iarraidh ro deireadh a' chiad clais mura bi e a' cordadh ribh, b' urrainn dhuibh falbh gun phaigheadh.

No obligation guarantee

Money won't be taken before the end of the first class - if you don't enjoy it, you don't pay.
